President’s corner

flying weather is here hope every one can enjoy it
while it lasts. this meeting will bring in new officers for the next two
years secretary , vice president and also a new safety officer , Mr.
Holland would like to step down from this position. we need a vote on the
candidates that were selected. please try to make this meeting to make your
vote count. we need a head count on the Christmas party for December witch
will be held during our normal meeting place, we have the facility from 6pm
till 10pm the American legion will provide a chicken / tri tip barbeque
with all the trimmings, beans,, salad, bread ,coffee .this will be a family
style dinner that will be brought to your table and you will have choice of
one or both chicken or tri tip. a full bar will be available at reduced
costs. total dinner cost is only 20.00 per couple . that's a great price I
hope every one can take advantage of this deal. we are now looking for and
will be getting some very nice gifts for our club members. remember your
raffle and 50/50 donations will offset the costs of this event. next meeting
is nov 2nd .. Christmas dinner December 8th. Frank Bognuda after six weeks
of owner ship and many times bringing his new GS300 to the field, finally
flew it for the first time, I never thought he could
smile that much and for such a long time. keep it flying, Remember fly safe
and have fun,,

October 5, 2005
The meeting was opened by President Larry Schlagel.
Al Seidenberg’s son is interested in liquidating Al’s R/C stuff. Members were invited to organize a visit by anyone interested.

Jay reported that the visitor count was 1903. Jay will put classified ads on the website for any interested member. Model doctor is still a staple on the site.
Safety
The cattle are back and this requires some extra care. After take off members are asked to please get off the runway.
Field Search Report
Larry noted that our current flying field is a good site and we may be there longer than anticipated. Please remember to turn the sign indicating that flight activities are happening or if you are last leaving please turn it back.
Al Montalbano brought in one of the tables proposed for the new site. Members commented on the design and Al will take the suggestions under advisement.
Frank Osborne has frequency clips for anyone who needs them
Frank George wants an update of the frequency data base. Please report to him the frequencies that you use.

Show and tell
Frank George brought and demonstrated a scanning radio designed specifically for R/C use. The unit will count bad frames to determine potential problems. Scanner is made by DW systems in Richmond CA they sell direct.
