December meeting.

Attendance 52,   meeting was opened at 7 pm by the
president; motion to have cocktails by 7.01 pm was accepted by the vice
president and carried by a majority vote. A motion by the president to close
the meeting by 7.02 pm was seconded and was also carried by a majority
vote. There was no crash of the month award, but after careful consideration
and a very close vote the crash of the year award went to Mr. John Salisbury
for an out standing crash that started fields on fire, numerous fire
departments and the inmates from a local facility had to be called to help
put out the flames. Mr. Salisbury will have the honor to display the famous
prop. the Christmas party went very well, the club provided many very nice
raffle prizes, recognition and a very warm thank you needs to go out to Mrs.
Oberst , Mrs., Schlagel and big boys toys for there help and support. The
American legion was happy to have us and they did a great job taking care of
our needs, all of the jackets were sold. And we have taken orders on others,
... flying field report, news from the Santa Maria dump site John Zao the
engineer has informed me that the final draft has gone to the state and we
are now waiting for a hearing date. He believes that all requirements have
been met and there should not be any further problems. There are a lot of
people waiting for this to succeed besides us; unfortunately we have to go
threw channels for this to become a permanent flying site for our club.
Please be patient were doing our best.  Next club meeting will be held on
January 4th at 7pm Wednesday at the veteran’s memorial building. Hope to see
you all there.. Larry Schlagel president.
